2025 Legislator of the Year Award Winner

Matt Reeves

The Georgia Self Storage Association is proud to recognize Representative Matt Reeves as its 2025 Legislator of the Year for his leadership and support of Georgia’s self-storage industry. Representative Reeves served as the lead sponsor of House Bill 131, an important GASSA legislative priority that modernizes the requirements for advertising lien sales at self-storage facilities. The legislation provides owners greater flexibility by allowing qualifying lien-sale advertisements to be published once in the county legal organ or through another commercially reasonable method, rather than requiring publication once a week for two consecutive weeks. Representative Reeves’ willingness to listen to the needs of self storage owners and champion practical legislation on their behalf exemplifies the type of legislative partnership that allows GASSA to effectively advocate for and protect Georgia’s self storage industry.
